Poof! Natalia Vodianova Is Now a Movie Star

Fashion’s favorite rags-to-riches story, the resplendent Natalia Vodianova is apparently not content with amassing fame and fortune—not to mention marrying into hunky gentry and generally making the rest of us feel bad about our lives. After bit parts in some summer blockbusters, including a minor turn in Clash of the Titans as a very editorial-looking Medusa, the Russian supe has just landed her first leading role in the upcoming flick Belle du Seigneur. This is no flashy action pic or dodgy erotic thriller, but full-fledged cinema. The film, directed by Glenio Bonder, is based on the classic 1967 novel and stars Jonathan Rhys Myers, who, perhaps for the first time in his acting career, will be matched up with a leading lady who’s prettier than he is. Expect a steamy love affair and lots of political intrigue. With her luck, Natalia will be a natural.
