Rag & Bone

Normally, in their transatlantic blend of cool Brit and New York grit, Rag & Bone’s Marcus Wainwright and David Neville would release the houndstooth. But for fall the dogs were were restrained in favor of another retro theme: aviation.

Military flight jackets, androgynous Amelia Earhart pants, and Pan Am stewardess uniforms took to the runway in a sea-meets-sky palette of sunset orange, mineral green, and royal blue. An update on the classic 1960s twinset look, tweeds were rubberized, leather bonded, Prince of Wales checks digitized, and mohair given a bouclé effect.

Ever-mindful of the power of a pretty face, the duo—who’ve tapped the Commonwealth likes of Kate Moss, Miranda Kerr, and Candice Swanepoel for their ad campaigns—populated their front row with Drew Barrymore, Tallulah Harlech, and Alison Mosshart, who’ll no doubt find themselves gifted a new and smaller Pilot bag, as shown on the catwalk.
