Sometimes you have to see fashion as it’s really worn to fully appreciate it. Never one for a runway show, today UNDERCOVER designer Jun Takahashi launched a series of short films—phased in throughout the day—featuring 18 real women as they go about their daily lives dressed in pieces from the fall 2012 collection, Psycho Color. Indeed there is a lot of color going on, but thankfully not so much psycho in the ordinary lives of these women, who represent various ages, ethnic backgrounds and walks of life. On the heels of Lanvin’s fall ad campaign, with its ladies of a certain age, has fashion finally stopped defying real life?
