When she’s not leaving loopy posts on Tumblr, Courtney Love is donating records that belonged to Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain to Creative Time’s 2011 Spring Gala Benefit Auction, held tomorrow. The three LPs featured in the lot are Nirvana’s two biggest singles—Smells Like Teen Spirit (which includes a B-side of previously unreleased tracks) and Come as You Are—and Cobain’s personal copy of Talking Heads: 77, an album that helped sharpen the icon’s cynical edge. The winning bidder will also receive a personal note from Love, which we imagine will be loopy.
