Alexander McQueen’s Savage Beauty Now a Book

Should the unthinkable happen and you miss Savage Beauty, the massive Alexander McQueen retrospective at the Metropolitan’s Costume Institute, there’s still a chance to redeem yourself. Written by the show’s curator, Andrew Bolton, an accompanying book (Yale Press, £30/€32) surveys McQueen’s brilliant career, focusing on his most iconic designs in an examination of his dark inner workings and exquisite subversion of tradition. Also in the book is an interview with the house’s new creative director, Sarah Burton. Buy one or two or ten. It’s the least you can do.

Here’s a rather mesmerizing morph job using the book’s cover…
