Snail Males: J.W. Anderson Men’s Fall 2016
Jonathan Anderson likes to provoke through gender-specific dress codes. Transparent though it is, why not ride the Zeitgeist?
For his J.W. Anderson show today in London, live-streamed on Grindr, the designer draped his androgyne models in white fur, snail prints, a raygun print, shimmery satin suits, torn cardigans, a quilted pink bolero, and two-tone lace-ups. Chokers and barrettes, too.
An aura of wet-behind-the-ears preciousness pervaded, like twink night at the local gay club. Turns out, there’s an app for that.
