Fight club or knit circle? That was the question at Sibling for fall 2016. Answer: combine them. The London collective took inspiration from classic 80s photographs of Michel Basquiat dressed up as a boxer, by Michael Halsband, and since everything they do is knitted, a woolly boxing theme was born, down to the knitted punching bags, chunky gloves, medals, and robes.

Since their last men’s collection, Sibling suffered a blow when one of the founding trio, Joe Bates, succumbed to cancer. But the group lives on —namely Sid Bryan and Cozette McCreery — and in that way this collection was a tribute to their friend and the proverbial fighter within.
