YSL Condemns the Sultan of Brunei and Boycotts His Hotels

The house of YSL, along with its creative director Hedi Slimane, has come out strongly against the Sultan of Brunei and the radical anti-gay, anti-women Sharia laws he’s imposing on his small Asian country. The Sultan may have forgotten that, as the owner of the Dorchester group of ten luxury hotels across the West, including the Beverly Hills and the Plaza Athénée, he’s an easy target for boycotts. Which is exactly what the French house is doing, announcing the decision with the following statement on Facebook. It’s likely others will follow suit, making for a very expensive lesson in basic human rights…
