Kate Bush Has Finally Run Up That Hill
Reclusive and puristic, Kate Bush has surprised everyone by announcing her first live tour in 35 years. This August and September, she’ll perform a 15-date run at Eventim Apollo in London that she’s calling Before the Dawn — in typical Bush fashion, it’s unclear what the name refers to. Tickets go on sale at 9:30 am on Friday, March 28.
Needless to say, it’s big news for fans of the eclectic singer, who, at the age of 19, topped the UK charts for Wuthering Heights, making her the Lorde of her time. And while she’s continued to crank out album after best-selling album over the years, gaining American fans for Running Up That Hill in 1985, she has never toured since the first, The Tour of Life, in 1979.
