Higher Learning: Kolor Men’s Fall 2014

One look at Kolor is enough to feel transported back to college and the preppy dreamboats you crushed on — you know, the adorably smug philosophy majors who quoted Voltaire in their finest duds.

You could sharpen your pencil on the notch collars exhibited in Junishi Abe’s vision for fall 2014. Each blazer was tailored to perfection, fashioned out of sumptuous wools, tweeds or velvets. Chunky knits featuring autumnal motifs gave the collection that New England flair, perfect for sitting under an oak tree while contemplating Russian civ. However, the Japanese designer kept it casual with relaxed-fit plaid pants. The baggy bottoms are essential to achieving the dorm-to-classroom look.
