For her men’s fall 2014 collection, Miuccia Prada subtly embraced the German geek, in his various 20th-century guises. These looks — to a soundtrack that included Pina Bausch, Nina Hagen, and Kurt Weill — ran the gamut from ill-fitting drab-brown Stasi-like suits to jewel-toned cabaret-ready dinner jackets. A military vibe was suggested in strange padded vests, some in fur, with multiple straps around the body. Each look was accessorized with a square-tipped necktie worn not like a normal single or double Windsor, but haphazardly at the side of the neck.
