Art of Seduction: Burberry Men’s Fall 2014

For Burberry men’s, Christopher Bailey found painterly inspiration ranging from bohemian to beaux-arts. Citing four early 20th-century British painters — Lucian Freud, Ben Nicholson, Christopher Wood, Duncan Grant — as his source material, the designer filled the runway with heavily printed silk shirts unbuttoned to reveal white mesh tanks, louche scarves and heavy blankets draped over shoulders, large carpet bags, and coats seemingly taken from an easel.
