Raf Simons has ratcheted his ongoing collaboration with L.A. artist Sterling Ruby up a few notches. He’s announced that they’ll present the Raf Simons/Sterling Ruby collection, a designation not used before, during the Paris men’s collections “in lieu” of Raf Simons’ regular men’s show for one season.

The collection, taking place January 15, will “translate into a complete men’s wardrobe that will combine the aggressive formal aesthetics of artist Sterling Ruby with Raf Simons’ constant search for innovation in men’s fashion.”

The two have collaborated a few times before, in 2009 on a bleached denim capsule for men and again last year, in Simons’ first Dior couture collection — several dresses and a coat printed, à la tie dye, with Ruby’s paintings.
