Hooked: Damien Hirst for Alexander McQueen Scarves

Marking the 10th anniversary of Alexander McQueen’s skull motif (spring ’03), the house has partnered with Damien Hirst on a series of 30 extraordinary large scarves. As seen below in the short film by Sølve Sundsbø, each limited-edition design is adapted from the artist’s Entomology series to create a kaleidoscopic juxtaposition of butterflies, beetles, spiders and other insects with a skull in the center. The result is a marriage of the two Brits’ fascination with nature and its bounty of strange creatures.

$515 – $1175 in chiffon, pongee, twill or cashmere, available beginning November 15 at Alexander McQueen stores worldwide and online.
