Vivienne Westwood ♥s British History

No stranger to history, Vivienne Westwood has collaborated with five British heritage brands for her new ♥s line — as in Loves. Combining her punk, historical, and environmental inspirations with the brands’ individual craftsmanship, each collaboration embodies her ‘buy less, choose well, make it last’ ethos.

The five brands are Globe-Trotter luggage, Gloverall coats, Johnstons of Elgin cashmere, Lock & Co hats and Pantherella socks. Each continues to operate in Britain, and some utilize the same methods they’ve always used. For example, every Globe-Trotter suitcase is riveted, lined and leather-trimmed by hand on original Victorian machinery at the Globe-Trotter factory in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. For Dame Vivienne, they created a cream and a midnight blue case, the interior of which feature her signature blue and red tartan.

Available from the second week of November at Vivienne Westwood locations at 44 Conduit Street, 18 Conduit Street, World’s End, select International stores and online
