Sweet Spot: Rochas Spring 2014

Confectionary perfection floated down the runway at Rochas as artistic director Marco Zanini layered sprite-like models in pastel florals and semi-sheer fabrics.

Femininity has long been a staple at the heritage house, which this season offered its take on late-60s attire, with the knee-grazing shift dress being the frock du jour. Exquisitely embellished shirts were layered over sumptuous full skirts and pleated wide-leg slacks, while boxy burn-out velvet trenches protected the propriety of barely-there maxi-dresses.

The presentation finished just as sweetly as it started, with a series of frothy meringue-esque cocktail dresses.
