Comfort Over Concept: MM6 Spring 2014

The casual component of the house that Margiela built, MM6 isn’t known for the innovation of its couture or RTW counterparts. Instead, the spring collection offered a round of perfectly wearable, even covetable clothing. The looks, for the most part, were crisp and clean — delicious shifts, pleated city shorts and deconstructed, oversized parkas and zip-up jackets with just the right amount of insouciance. None of the label’s offbeat sense of humor was immediately on display, though perfectly cut white blouses and a roomy pair of trousers made up for it comfort.
