Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Are Said to Host the Globes Again
Want some good news for your awards show-viewing pleasure? Someone over at Deadline hasn’t gotten word that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have been asked, informally, to again host the Golden Globes, following their stellar first-time performance in January of this year. Who would argue with a gobsmacking 20 million viewers and heaps of critical praise does wonders?
While no one seems to be very surprised that NBC and Dick Clark Productions have, reportedly, approached them again, the real question is: Will they do it? Our bet is yes, of course, although the 30 Rock creator has started her four-year deal with Universal TV and Poehler continues starring in and producing her mega-hit show, Parks and Recreation. Another real question: Why can’t the Oscars find a knee-slapping perma-host?
