It looks as if Jil Sander has been California dreaming — make that a fever dream — for her spring 2014 men’s collection. Loose and casual white suits, some with pops of a coral floral, gave way to extra-roomy pleated shorts and oddly proportioned jackets with narrow shoulders. Texture was also paid plenty of attention: shiny patent leather jackets and a particularly cozy cream sweater with an all-shag front. And, for those who thought socks had been banished forever, be prepared to wear black tubes with everything.
