Christian Lacroix appears to be shaking off the doldrums that set in after shuttering his business some years ago. After a mini-flurry of speculation yesterday that Rochas’ Marco Zanini would be appointed creative director of Schiaparelli, today comes the news that Christian Lacroix has been tapped. Well, for one season anyway.

In a statement from Diego Della Valle, CEO of Tod’s, owner of Schiaparelli, it was announced that each season the house would bring on a creative from the field of fashion or art to craft a tribute capsule collection, beginning with Lacroix. We predict it won’t be long before a parade of pink poufs and bows is marching down the runway.
