Anna Piaggi’s Wardrobe Finds a Final Resting Place

Following news of Stephen Jones’ tribute to the recently departed Anna Piaggi comes word that the colorful Vogue Italia editor’s wardrobe has found a final resting place.

The city of Milan has come through for its native daughter, partnering with Piaggi’s estate to create a permanent exhibition of her clothing and accessories at Fabbrica Del Vapore (Steam Factory), a cultural center for the city’s youth. According to WWD, the exhibition—curated by the London College of Fashion—will morph into a fashion museum set to be open its doors to the public later this month, during Milan Fashion Week.

A muse to countless designers and young fashion fans alike, Piaggi is said to have a vast personal collection, though tantalizingly unclear as to what it’s composed of—other than bright furs and Stephen Jones hats. We’ll soon know a lot more about the personal tastes of the eccentric style icon.
