Juun J. Men’s
Juun J.’s recent successes are rooted in his ability to cultivate a street-meets-haute aesthetic, and his fall collection was no exception. The Korean designer has said his inspiration comes from the models he works with; thus, this season he opted to find his muse in Korean model Won Kim. Through the use of oversized and reversible coats, as well as the psychedelic images by artist Greg Simkins, Juun J. played with volume and weight, appealing to the new flaneur, a young, versatile urban explorer who effortlessly adapts to new terrains. The designer’s architectural eye was translated into playful, geometric constructions, such as a short bomber jackets with contrastingly long sleeves, culminating with a series of earth-tone pieces softened by decorative details like rubber neckings and supple leather sleeves.
