Manon Leloup
Like a reverse safari, where the giraffe turns tourist and ventures into human territory, Manon Leloup schlepped an old-school camera (as in, not digital) at the last round of shows—her first.
Standing at 5’11, which is probably a conservative estimate, the French shutterbug walked thirty-something collections, all while documenting the firsts that come with a debut season with the retro camera given to her by her grandmother. When she got the film back, she surely saw lots of happy faces from the likes of Phoebe Philo at Céline, Stella McCartney, Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen, and Jil Sander, just a few of the elite group of designers she walked for. Not to mention Francisco Costa at Calvin Klein, who already booked her again for pre-fall 2013.
