Something Different: Hermès at Artcurial

A few times a year, the Artcurial auction house in Paris hosts a sale of vintage Hermès. Accessories make up the bulk of the goodies, but among the scarves, riding crops and 50s-era Kelly and Birkin bags—the sales’ bread and butter—in the upcoming auction on October 30, Artcurial will make available a selection of unique jewelry pieces. The most phenomenal of these include a rare gold-faced padlock watch on a leather strap (€700-900) and a scarab beetle brooch made from tiger’s eye quartz (€2,000-3,000).
