Carine Roitfeld Lands Her Biggest Gig Yet

In proof that living well is the best break-up revenge, veteran editrix Carine Roitfeld is busier than ever two years after being ousted from Vogue Paris. This fall marked the first issue of her new magazine/monograph blend, CR Fashion Book. And now—just when you thought the new grandmother couldn’t possibly be more in demand—she’s headed back to mainstream media with her biggest gig yet: Global Fashion Director of Harper’s Bazaar.

At Condé Nast rival Hearst, she’ll join CR Fashion Book collaborator Stephen Gan and work on several stories a year across all of the brand’s 26 international editions. She starts in March, so expect the clothes in Bazaar to get a lot more black by next summer.
