Barneys and Disney, Wishing Upon a Collaboration

If you thought the holidays would offer a break from fashion celebs vying for your attention, think again. Tis the season for grabby window displays.

Over the summer, as part of its Electric Holiday collaboration with Barneys, Disney rolled out Minnie, Daisy and Goofy—creepily elongated to resemble runway models—wearing the likes of Lanvin, Balmain, and Dolce & Gabbana.

Now Bisney has come out with this line-art drawing, a preview of an animation featuring fashion characters in caricature. We’ll leave you to guess who’s who—it isn’t hard. Franca Sozzani, Emmanuelle Alt, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Glenda Bailey are also said to be in the short, which will be unveiled in the windows of Barneys’ Madison Avenue flagship on November 14.

While few can compare with Disney’s technical wizardry and cartoonish budgets, if we’re being Contrary Connie (now there’s a character), we still prefer Spongebob Karl.
