Fuck us gently with a chainsaw, because Bravo is bringing back the 1988 cult classic Heathers with a new series inspired by the original mean girls. The TV spinoff will follow Veronica Sawyer (Winona Ryder’s character in the original) upon her return to Sherwood, Ohio, where her teen daughter is bullied by the high school’s next generation of queen bees, the Ashleys, daughters of Heathers McNamara and Duke. No word yet if the Ashleys will carry on their mothers’ color coordinated fashion sense.

While the network seems like a good fit for the dark comedy, we have one major issue with the reboot: the Ashleys?What, did the writers have a brain tumor for breakfast?
