Christopher Bailey’s got a lot more than the upcoming Burberry show on his mind this September. The lauded Brit designer has just announced he’ll be marrying his partner of three years, actor Simon Woods, in a small civil ceremony next month.

The union of the designer and actor, ages 40 and 32, respectively, looks to be the antithesis of the recent star-studded nuptials of Rufus Wainwright, a Montauk bash officiated by Justin Vivian Bond and feted by the likes of Yoko Ono, Antony Hegarty and Julianne Moore. The venue chosen by Bailey and Woods, Chelsea Register Office, has room for a mere 38 guests.

It isn’t their first near an aisle, if not down one. Woods is friends with Chelsea Clinton and her husband Marc Mezvinsky, whom he met while attending Oxford. Woods introduced the former first daughter to Bailey, who designed the suits for the groom and ushers at her wedding. Perhaps we can also expect miniature Burberry there soon.

One thing’s for sure: the besotted blond couple is sure to be besuited impeccably. Congratulations to the happy hubbies.
