Video Fix: Miu Miu

Miu Miu’s Women’s Tales series of short films—including the latest, It’s Getting Late—screened together for the first time yesterday at the Venice Film Festival.

Totaling four so far, the shorts—always by women directors with all-women casts—portray a strong feminine point of view and of course feature Miu Miu pieces, in a non-obtrusive way.

In It’s Getting Late, by the Iranian-American filmmaker Massy Tadjedin, four women in L.A.—strangers to each other—are winding down their workdays and preparing for the evening. Led by Patricia Clarkson and Rinko Kikuchi, these ordinary women primp, primp some more, put on their Miu Miu, and head out to a nightclub where they watch Zola Jesus perform. Moody without being dark, it’s a nice way to spend 8 minutes…
