The Essential Guide to Fashion’s Night Out 2012

Unless you’ve been cloned, it’ll be impossible to go everywhere and do everything on Fashion’s Night Out (September 6). So here’s our essential guide, updated daily…

Comme des Garçons
The new collection from Comme’s Edited Black line will launch on September 7 and previewed the night before, Fashion’s Night Out. Treats on hand from Brooklyn Soda Works and Blue Marble Ice Cream. Customers who spend $250 or more will receive a free box of Comme des Garcons Series 3 incense sticks.

Three McQueen stores will debut the house’s newest accessory, the wrap scarf bracelet, in three dégrade colors. Opening Ceremony
Having today announced Korea as its country of focus for the next year, the store has partnered with Ace Hotel and 42 Below to convert the lobby into a noraebang, or karaoke room, where guests can sing along with hosts including Solange Knowles (8-11 pm). Also on hand will be a signing by Carol Lim and Humberto Leon of their new 10-year retrospective book. The two will also take part in a Q&A hosted by Spike Jonze (4-5 pm). And finally, designers including Rodarte, Proenza Schouler, and Band of Outsiders will participate in the Closet2Closet initiative, offering one-of-a-kind items for purchase, with proceeds benefitting Broome Street Academy, a public charter school helping at-risk youth graduate high school.
Opening Ceremony at Ace Hotel, 29th St & Broadway, NYC

At participating stores, the Italian house will pre-launch its new line of eco-friendly jersey handbags, 100 of which will be available to buy, as well as unveil an exhibition of photographs by the 2012 New Exposure winner, An Le.
