Romeo and Joyce

Well before grunge, minimalism and irony, Romeo Gigli’s richly fabricated, vaguely ethnic designs were the height of 80s chic. A consummate traveler and collector of objets, he imbued his princely robes with weight, worldliness and erudition.

Not much has been heard from the Italian designer since those heady, big-shouldered days. Until now. The Hong Kong super-store Joyce has brought Gigli back into the fold with an exclusive fall collection for men and women—as sumptuous and opulent as ever. Hear him describe its nuances as he gives a video tour of his Milan apartment, filled with the items that inspired him.

The collection is available now for pre-order and in Joyce beginning July 24.
