Rad Hourani Takes On Haute Couture

For the last five years, Rad Hourani has been fomenting a quiet revolution in fashion, single-mindedly molding his vision for a genderless, seasonless, placeless, and shapeless (or rather, shape-changing) wardrobe.

Now, says the Canadian-born, Paris-based designer, the concept has “come into its own, reaching a new level of craftsmanship that treats the fabric three-dimensionally, as an architectural origami canvas.”

The only logical thing to do next is take his reductive philosophy to that most maximalist of places: the haute couture collection in Paris. That’s where, on July 4, Hourani will present the world’s first unisex couture collection.
