Adam Kimmel Puts His Label on Hold
While most people dream of summer vacations, Adam Kimmel has a whole year of freedom to look forward to. After ten years and 18 collections, the men’s designer announced today that he’s taking a one-year sabbatical from fashion. His fall 2012 will still hit stores, as will his collaborations with Carhartt and Supreme, but the upcoming spring 2013 show in Paris has been canceled.
Kimmel says he plans to spend the year with family (you would, too, if your family included wife Leelee Sobieski and a little one) and enrich his vision by exploring a number of creative arenas while he’s still young. “I am a designer and creator, first and foremost,” Kimmel said in a statement. “I look forward to utilizing this next year to experiment and learn, and channel what I find into new concepts, designs, and projects.” We can’t wait to see what he comes up with.
