Even though a new style blog launches every 15 seconds, Advanced Style stands out. For four years photographer Ari Seth Cohen has aimed his lens on stylish ladies of a certain age, capturing fashion tips and life lessons along the way. His attention to the timeless style of grand dames around the world has earned him a dedicated following, plus an Advanced Style book, launching this month.

Now, Cohen is looking to take their stylish seniors to the big screen, in collaboration with filmmaker Lina Plioplyte. With over two years worth of footage, including interviews with Iris Apfel and some of the blog’s other favorite subjects, Cohen and Plioplyte have turned to Kickstarter to raise $35,000 to finance their goal.
