She’s gone from quirky to angsty and on to Rookie. Now Tavi Gevinson is trying her hand at sultry, singing Dory Previn’s Beware of Young Girls in Wren’s fall 2012 video. Dressed the part of a 60s songbird, and hitting a lower register than you might expect, she does a disarmingly good job channeling the Oscar-nominated songwriter who wrote numerous film scores with her husband, André Previn, including Valley of the Dolls, before dying less than two months ago at the age of 86.
