Sale Alert! Fashion Girls for Japan

It’s been one year since Japan’s devastating earthquake and tsunami laid waste to vast areas of the country. While progress has been made, a full recovery is still distant.

The fashion world has taken a leading role in raising awareness and funds, and continues to rally around the cause. Following its quick-relief clothing sale in the disaster’s immediate aftermath, Fashion Girls for Japan returns with its 60+ Desigers/60+ Rolling Racks designer sample sale.

Like last year, more than 60 New York designers, some creating exclusive items, have pledged to donate one rolling rack of clothes. This year the sale includes menswear, accessories and jewelry. All pieces will be offered at 50% or more off the retail price. As before, 100% of the proceeds will go towards Japan’s reconstruction efforts, specifically Japan Society’s Japan Earthquake Relief Fund and Home for All Foundation by KISYN, a Japan-based architectural organization that builds communal spaces for the displaced. Last year FGFJ raised approximately $275,000.
