Money Where Your Mouse Is: Karl.com

As if his recent Net-a-Porter collection wasn’t enough, the web continues to offer us Karl, Karl and more Karl. The new concept site from the Chanel and Fendi designer is split into three areas: Shop Karl, Kollections, and World of Karl. At Shop Karl you can find—and more importantly, buy—Lagerfeld’s own label and gain access to Karl’s Pick, a special selection of garments from his more affordable line. It should go without saying that four of these eleven items feature a variation of his portrait.

Kollections contains the latest ad campaign and lookbook for Karl, featuring models Arizona Muse, Abbey Lee Kershaw, et al. Visitors also have access to the men’s spring lookbook for Lagerfeld, which is quite pared down compared to his women’s range, but still retains a touch of French haughtiness and rock ‘n’ roll attitude.

World of Karl is easily the most alluring section, a kind of Alice-in-Wonderland tumblr, chronicling not only his myriad inspirations, but the rather bizarre things he says, or Karlisms, i.e. “I know how annoying, impossible ad hard to please I can be. I wouldn’t recommend myself as a guest to anyone.” It’s only a matter of time before Karlism enters the Oxford English Dictionary.
