Lady Gaga always gives her all to her little monsters. But in her latest bid to shock, the pop provocateur has taken a vow to do the one thing that seems unimaginable, signing a self-imposed gag order.

In a final (for now) interview with Oprah—airing this Sunday on the beleaguered OWN network—Gaga promises, “Other than this interview, Oprah, I do not intend to speak to anyone for a very long time. No press, no television.”

The decision to take a “very long” media hiatus comes after a year in which the singer has gotten herself into trouble on more than one occasion, including spats with Cathy Horyn and Tim Gunn. And that’s just in the fashion arena. Let’s hope she’s saving her punches for a nobler cause, her fight against bullying.
