Something Different: Olympia Le Tan
Olympia le Tan—she who embroiders minaudiers in the shape of books—was inspired by mental health and juvenile delinquency for her new collection, creating bags with the likenesses of cultish and pulpish old books. In addition to these book clutches, as she calls them, the Girl Interrupted of the accessories world has also made box clutches emblazoned with fake pharmaceutical names Wiagra, Zanacs and Brozac. After a particularly dramatic Paris Fashion Week, these might be just what the doctor ordered. Complete with brass hardware and Liberty print lining, each design is limited to 16 pieces, around $1200 at Book Marc in New York and Colette in Paris.
