Ohne Titel
Ohne Titel’s fall presentation began with an audible gasp from the audience. The first look, a vertically striped black-and-white skirt with an intricately cut checked jacket, was striking and graphic and just the sort of thing that designers Flora Gill and Alexa Adams are becoming known for. The check print carried through the show, and from a distance it read like variations of fishnet or a keffiyeh scarf. In less deft hands the pattern could have just read busy.
The rest of the streamlined collection showed the duo had a clear customer in mind: strong and sporty, not at all interested in unnecessary frills or details. Leather tops and slouchy printed pants were standouts, as was a sporty suit in cobalt—the show’s sole color—and black. A second print called to mind a flock of birds and was featured on pants and dresses in silk and jacquard. There were also more athletic cuts, dresses with tight racer-back tops and kicky little skirts, as well as a selection of stunning knits.
