Kris Van Assche

For those lucky enough to be back to the grind by fall, whether as mechanics or bankers, Kris Van Assche has them covered. That was the message of his stellar fall collection, with its dominant theme of workwear. All kinds of workwear, from denim overalls to power suits—some of it part of his new collaboration with Lee.

Utility vests and the ever-popular backpack were shown over tailored men’s shirts. Half-cummerbund jackets peeped out of blazers and oversized carpenter pockets could be spotted on trousers, which were cropped and wide-leg. Ribbed wool knits were cinched with belts, while heavy tweed and plaid coats were again shown with overalls. Wide leather belts with metal clasps reminiscent of bike messengers and clear plastic glasses recalling a lab technician were standouts among accessories.
