Adam Kimmel

Who knew Adam Kimmel was into conspiracy theory? Tales of secret government agencies and military bases inspired his fall collection, marked by tough and resilient materials one might need to check for aliens in space.

Mixed in with tailored classic suits were standout bomber jackets made from fabrics the designer calls “amphibious cotton,” sourced from NASA. At one point a model came out wearing a jet fighter helmet so gnarly it makes Top Gun look like child’s play. Of course every man needs a shearling and the only one shown came in a delicious oatmeal.

The highlight of the show was a sort of hologram portal, which, at one point, a model disappeared into but was overlooked by the audience. Kimmel then took advantage of the situation and brought smiles to the crowd as he magically appeared, seemingly from another dimension, making himself crack up in the process.
