Playtime at Lanvin

When you’re a kid, tea parties usually consist of you in your bedroom talking to stuffed animals. But when Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz is playing host, you can expect it to be a bit ritzier—literally. Last night the French house joined forces with the storied Ritz Hotel in Paris to throw a Children’s Tea Party, fêting the arrival of the previously announced Petite Collection in boutiques.

Guests at the over-the-top soiree admired the summer 2012 offerings arranged in the Louis XV salon and delighted in children’s games, balloon animals, colorful bonbons, a crepe-making station and a traditional French marionette show. There was also plenty of tea, of course, and French pastries for the adults in the room, while their little ones ran around playing hide-and-seek among jumbo Lanvin boxes.

As a final touch, each family left the event with a Lanvin Petite coloring book and pencils. Think we could find those on eBay? For our nephew, obviously.
