Tis the season for indulgent window displays. Typically it’s up to the grand Fifth Avenue department stores to keep the tradition alive with over-the-top, Hollywood-worthy set designs. But this year Prada is doing its small part. At its various boutiques citywide, the Italian label has dressed its windows with charming velvet jewelry boxes bursting with items from its resort 2012 collection. Miu Miu, meanwhile, has gone altogether Marie Antoinette with its own resort collection of high-necked, puff-sleeved mini-dresses and other small masterpieces set against gold-dipped friezes, Versailles-style.
