You can see why this fashion film, The Game of Things, is inspired by early Roman Polanski films, the creepiest of his repertoire. The rather long short by director Cristian Straub—using clothes by German designer Ethel Vaughn—tells the story of a troubled frau seemingly haunted by her past. Despite burning all the mementos and keepsakes that clutter her life, a mysterious man keeps reappearing. That’s about all we can glean, because like all good thrillers, a lot is left unanswered…
