What’s old is new again at Louis Vuitton. In a nod to the oddly modern fashion of yore, the French luxury house has launched its self-explanatory Icons collection of revamped basics. The classic trouser returns as stretch leather treggings and the Perfecto leather jacket made famous by Marlon Brando comes with removable sleeves that zip right off. The mackintosh raincoat gets a makeover with a Stephen Sprouse leopard-print lining, while the cardigan, five-pocket jean, parka, and sweatsuit all get tweaked, too. After all, iconic style never dies; it just gets updated.
