Deck-Brained
New music for the one-track-minded…
They don’t even have a full-length album out yet, but Clock Opera isn’t wasting any time. For about a year, the London-based synthpop band has been putting out single after hypnotic single. True to form, they’re latest EP, Lesson No. 7, pits the melodic, Morrissey-like warbles of frontman Guy Connelly against the crashing crescendos of an irregular drum and bass. Just released, the rather disturbing (but fictional) video, directed by Aoife McCardle, follows a disenfranchised malcontent—who could be a runway model (let’s not deny our superficiality, shall we?)—as he takes reverse action during the recent UK riots.
Don’t miss Night Angles’ even more haunting remix…
