Versace for H&M for the Rest of Us

Next month the mega-retailer H&M, whose mastery of fast fashion has set the pace for all, will launch one of its most anticipated collections to date. For men and women, Versace for H&M is an homage to the late Gianni in many ways: the Greece-meets-Miami vibe, wild prints, and black mini-dresses that seem to slink straight out of the brand’s archives. Other looks including sky-high lace-up boots, velvet bomber jackets, and printed undies round out the collection.

And, as if a black tuxedo jacket with metallic tips isn’t enough to get you up early on November 17, the brand is also putting out a home collection. Just as her big bro would have wanted it, Donatella sets forth a wild Japanese-inspired bedspread and matching pillows, among other showy favorites. And, at H&M prices (studded leather dress for $299, anyone?), this is one of those fashion moments when everyone can climb onto the runway.
