If you haven’t already, you can go ahead and forget everything your mother taught you about matching. Clashing separates have long been de rigueur, but Richard Chai’s Love collection was in a clash all its own.

For spring, Chai opted to show both men’s and women’s looks together in a loud stream of mixy-matchy floral and striped prints, cool layers and eye-popping sherbet shades of orange, sea foam and pink. Ladies gave the cold shoulder with perfectly placed cutouts, as well as flashes of bright blue and purple lips, while the boys layered up in mesh tees, cuffed trousers and pajama tops—a bold spin on Miami Vice and a strong start to a long week ahead.
