Earlier this summer, Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci was breast-fed by performance artist Marina Abramovic, in a move meant to cross the boundaries of art, fashion and, apparently, lactation. For fall, Tisci extends this idiosyncratic, iconoclastic ethos to three of the most brazen bags we’ve seen in a while. With yellow eyes blazing, a pack of wild cats stalks a patent-leather trolley bag ($4,060), a handbag with gold chain details ($2,185) and a satin clutch ($1,490), an even smaller version of the minaudière. Tisci calls them “dark gothic pin-up meets black panther,” but you can think of them as the pounce-worthy bags of the season. At Givenchy boutiques this month.
